Ulrich Irnich (born 1965) has been Vodafone Germany’s Chief Information Officer since 2020 and a member of its Executive Committee since May 2021.As CIO and Head of Modernisation Garage in the Digital & IT global organisational unit he will be taking Vodafone Germany’s customer-focused IT strategy forward, with responsibility for digitalisation-related issues, new technologies and the modernisation of IT processes and systems. Ulrich Irnich has a solid 32-year track record in the IT and telecom industries. Before joining Vodafone Germany he played an instrumental role in driving Unitymedia’s agile and digital transformation as CIO. As Simplification & Transformation Director at Telefónica he orchestrated the company’s radical simplification and transformation. Prior to that, at the E-Plus Group, he headed the Cash & Phone startup and coordinated the digital transformation. Before moving to E-Plus he spent several years as Director of Managed Services at Computacenter after holding the function of SixSigma Programme Manager at GE Capital.
