In 2004 and 2007, Yingying Fan got her B.S. and M.S. degrees in communications and signal processing from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Nanjing, China. She worked as a software testing engineer for ZTE Corporation's Shanghai Research Institute from 2007 to 2015, specializing in GSM/UMTS/LTE system service procedures. She has been the Director of RAN Production Planning since 2015. Her research interests included network sharing and radio access network energy efficiency. She works within ITU-T SG5 for researching the environmental effectiveness of artificial intelligence and other developing technologies, and is an active participant in the production of ITU-T recommendations.
